Born to the inventor of the original “Pooper Scooper”, Sarah Kalnajs was destined to work with dogs!  An honors graduate of the University of WI Madison – Sarah is both a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (www.iaabc.org) and a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (www.apdt.com). 

She is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and of the Animal Behavior Management Alliance and serves on the faculty of the Companion Animal Sciences Institute (http://www.casinstitute.com/), a four-year canine behavioral sciences diploma program and the Humane Society of the United States’, Humane Society University Program (www.hsuonline.org).

The producer / author of the award winning DVD series “Language of Dogs” and “Am I Safe” (www.dogwise.com), Sarah is an internationally renowned speaker on all things dog giving educational seminars for the pet professional and pet owner alike.

Sarah is a well-respected expert in the field of dog behavior and training and is often retained as a consultant and expert witness on dog aggression cases. 

A firm believer in the rescue and rehabilitation of unwanted dogs, Sarah is the founder and president of Wisconsin American Eskimo Dog Rescue and works as the behavior and training consultant at Lakeland Animal Welfare Society as well as a number of other shelters throughout Wisconsin.

A freelance writer / contributor for publications including Men’s Heath & Fitness, Chronicle of the Dog, Honolulu Magazine and Sit-Stay Magazine, Sarah is also a frequent guest to both radio and television including the BBC, NBC and a host of local radio and television programs throughout the country.  She has also trained animals for work in television and film including the hit series Chad Vader! (Blame Society Productions)

In addition to her work with dogs, Sarah has worked in marine mammal research and training through the University of Hawaii as well as working with a number of other exotic animal species in facilities across the country via her work with the Animal Behavior Management Alliance.
