Program Description
The Diploma of Animal Behavior Technology is an advanced and intensive program of study in the assessment and modification of animal behavior. The program is not species specific (although many examples are related to companion dogs and the texts focus on humans) and does not address species typical behavior, biology or other supporting topics as the Dip.DTBC program does. This program concentrates on the principles, tactics, strategies and procedures of assessing and changing behavior. The program is focused on the principles of learning and behavior and their application to assessing the function of behavior and the modification of it.
This program requires approximately 182 work-hours.
Graduates are awarded a Diploma of Animal Behavior Technology and are allowed the letters Dip.ABT. after their name.
