Course Description:

Advanced Behavior Analysis 299 is a more advanced coverage of the principles of behavior and the behavior analytic orientation. This elective course is highly recommended for those who want a more advanced and in-depth coverage of the principles of learning / behavior and behavior analysis as a field of studying the natural science of behavior.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completing this course, the student will be able to:

  • Explain the assumptions of the natural science of behavior
  • Explain and analyze the notion of behavior in operational / scientific terms
  • Describe and analyze the functional relationship between behavior and the environment
  • Identify and explain what explanatory fictions are
  • Define, discuss and analyze the concept of concurrent contingencies
  • Define and discuss function altering stimulation and multiple term contingencies
