Course Description

This course takes a more in-depth look at macro- and micro-nutrients. It discusses the roles of certain vitamins, the differences in some minerals, and the various types of cholesterol. It also explores the different types of amino acids and how energy is produced via the TCA cycle.

Students should emerge from this course with an understanding of:

  • Vitamins
  • Minerals
  • Carbohydrates
  • Protein
  • Fats
  • TCA cycle

The course begins as soon as your enrollment is complete and you receive your enrollment package. Although we allow 2 months for this course, you are free to complete the course sooner if you can, and we do allow extensions if need be.
