Course Description
This course will introduce the student to research design. The course will review the basics of designing and carrying out research projects. How science operates, hypothesis formulation, basic statistical representations, logic and research, and experimental design are described.
With a foundational understanding of research methods the student will be in a position to evaluate the research findings they come across in their studies as well as design and carry out research projects of their own.
Don't be afraid of the statistics component. The course will focus on research design and conceptual aspects rather than intensive mathematical aspects.
The student will have the opportunity to prepare a research proposal for this course. An exam will also be required.
