Course Description
This course provides a foundational knowledge of common dog behavior problems including (but not limited to) aggression, separation distress, barking, digging, attention seeking,coprophagia, house soiling, and jumping up. This course explores problem behaviors not by speculation about private mental experiences, but rather by the environmental contingencies (antecedents and consequences) that maintain the behavior and the biological context in which they occur.
Students should emerge from this course with a foundationalunderstanding of:- Aggressive behavior, what it is and why it is used
- Separation distress
- Barking
- Coprphagia
- House Soiling
- Jumping up
